Problem :
MyFitnessPal’s app had usability and accessibility issues that affected user engagement, especially for new users. Navigation felt complex, core actions like adding food were time-consuming, and frequent ads disrupted the experience. Essential features such as barcode scanning were locked behind a paywall, increasing user frustration.

Solution :
The solution focused on a cleaner UI with consistent design language, improved navigation flow, and better use of white space. Core actions were made more prominent, layouts were decluttered, and visual hierarchy was strengthened to create a more intuitive and beginner-friendly experience.
Challenge :
The main challenge was redesigning a feature-rich app to feel simpler and more intuitive without removing functionality. Reducing cognitive load, improving navigation clarity, and modernizing the visual design had to be achieved within a short timeline and without direct user interviews.
Summary :
